3. TOTAL CARBON ANALYZER MODEL TCA08

5. SOOTSCAN NODEL OT21 OPTICAL TRANSMISSOMETER


The SootScan™ Model OT21 Optical Transmissometer benchtop analyzer is a simple and robust instrument that measures the Black Carbon content of an aerosol sample collected on a filter, either from ambient air or from source emissions.The SootScan™ Model OT21 Optical Transmissometer can analyze aerosol samples quickly and easily in the field or the laboratory to determine optical attenuation and BC / BrC mass results.

The analysis is performed at two wavelengths (880 nm, definitive for 'Black' Carbon; and 370 nm, where enhanced optical absorption may indicate the presence of 'Brown' Carbon aerosol derived from biomass combustion.)The analysis is non-contact, non-contaminating, and non-destructive. It may therefore be performed before other laboratory techniques are applied to the sample. The analysis method requires no support gases or consumables. A neutral density photometric standard kit is available for verifying instrument calibration and validating the instrument response.

6. microAeth / AE51


The microAeth AE51 is a real-time, pocket-sized Black Carbon aerosol monitor. This palm-size instrument is small enough to be worn on-person and provides aerosol Black Carbon concentration in real-time. The microAeth incorporates the same Aethalometer measurement technology which has been used worldwide for over 30 years.The device is a self-contained instrument with a built-in pump, flow control, data storage, and battery designed for on-person exposure monitoring.

The instrument can operate continuously for up to 24 hours on a single battery charge. The air sample is collected on T60 (Teflon coated glass fiber) filter media. 10. INTEGRATING NEPHELOMETERS


Nephelometers provide real-time and near real-time measurements of bulk particle properties such as average amount and size. We have a variety of models suitable for different uses. AirPhoton 3-wavelength Integrating Nephelometers measure the light scattered by particulate matter, over the angular range 7° to 170°. Employing an innovative design, the forward and backward scattering measurements are made completely independently. LED technology is employed to make these measurements at 450 nm, 532 nm and 632 nm, and to a sensitivity < 10-7m-1. Internal sensors measure and log temperature, relative humidity and pressure.Small and compact, our Integrating Nephelometers are robust and ready for outdoor deployment in rugged conditions. Power requirements are 15W @ 120 VAC.

Input power options include: 110/220 VAC, 50/60Hz with provided power supply, and regulated 12VDC from sampling station with provided power connector. Other power options can be made available upon request such as operating from batteries or solar power. Optional heaters are available at the expense of additional power consumption. Data from our Integrating Nephelometer are saved in a removable SD memory card and can be linked to an external computer via RS485 using accessories available from AirPhoton.

12. nano CONDENSATION NUCLEUS COUNTER (nCNC)


Airmodus A11 nano Condensation Nucleus Counter (nCNC) is the only commercially available measurement system for determining the size distribution of both neutral and charged 1-4 nm aerosol particles.
